About the Role

This is a key leadership position on the RS PRO senior leadership team, responsible for executing the RS PRO strategy and refining, building, and improving upon category management and product strategy, including Quality and business development plans to strengthen and secure growth.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in product, category management, supplier management, sourcing, finance, P&L management, business development, legal, sales, brand management, continuous improvement, quality, economics, data analysis, data science, compliance, ethics, and consultancy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the product management of the business globally, ensuring products are returning strong ROI and the range of over 80,000 products is optimised fully and performing.
  • Developing and executing strategies to accelerate growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including managing directors across the EMEA region and supporting peers in the Americas and APAC regions.
  • Evolve the product/category management team through improved processes and working methods, support group harmonisation, and improvements.
  • Analysis of data to allow for a deep understanding of why we are winning/growing and why we may face challenges, pivoting resources accordingly and creating new strategies to optimise growth.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

They will be a strategic thinker, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

A strong understanding of product, category management, supplier management, sourcing, finance, P&L management, business development, legal, sales, brand management, continuous improvement, quality, economics, data analysis, data science, compliance, ethics, and consultancy is essential.

The successful candidate will be a natural leader, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to deliver exceptional results.

They will be a strong communicator, with excellent written and verbal skills, and the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

A strong understanding of the RS Group plc business and products is essential, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
