Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy Chief Pharmacist to lead our Cancer Services team at The London Clinic. As a key member of our Pharmacy department, you will be responsible for managing clinical pharmacy services to all cancer areas, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and coordinate a programme of continuous service improvements and audits relating to medicines optimisation across all cancer services.
  • Work closely with other lead pharmacists to provide clinical pharmacy services to cancer wards areas in a consistent manner.
  • Share the management of the rotational clinical pharmacists at the Duchess of Devonshire Wing of The London Clinic.
  • Develop and monitor medicines management systems to facilitate safe and effective patient-focused care.
  • Provide specialist pharmacist expertise at super user level to the electronic prescribing system.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience in clinical hospital pharmacy.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in haematology/oncology services.
  • Leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Effective multi-disciplinary team working.
  • Experience of electronic prescribing.
