Children's Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Qualified Children's Social Worker to join our Duty & Assessment Team at North Yorkshire Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing children and their families' needs, making recommendations for services to achieve agreed outcomes, and participating in the allocation of cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and prioritize cases as allocated by the line manager
- Assess children and their family's needs and make appropriate recommendations for services to achieve agreed outcomes
- Participate in the allocation of cases and accept cases allocated by the Team
- Liaise with other agency professionals as necessary to fulfill the Directorates statutory duties and achieve best outcomes for children
- Fully engage in supervision and performance appraisal
- Maintain good case records, write reports as required in line with departmental standards
- Give evidence in court in relation to care or other proceedings
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker registration
- 2 years post-qualifying experience within the UK
- Eligibility to work in the UK
