Administrative Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Burnley. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the school office, ensuring the smooth operation of daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide general administrative support to the school office, including responding to queries and maintaining accurate records
  • Assist with pupil attendance records, updating registers, and maintaining accurate school data
  • Handle confidential information in line with school policies
  • Support the management of school communications, including letters and social media updates
  • Assist with filing, photocopying, and other office duties as needed
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the senior leadership team to support school operations
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an admin or office role (experience in a school setting is an advantage)
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general IT skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a busy school environment
  • A commitment to safeguarding and maintaining confidentiality
