About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at SLR Consulting. As a key member of our Civil and Structural Engineering team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing projects from feasibility through to final handover.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and advising clients on engineering projects such as power, general infrastructure, and waste management facilities
  • Working knowledge of engineering design, programme management, and engineering contracts
  • Experience of the tender process and management of construction projects
  • Report writing and technical review of team members' work
  • Supervision and mentoring of engineering staff
  • Liaising with other professionals in UK offices
  • Assisting senior team members in seeking opportunities through coordinated business development

About You

We are looking for a strong team player with good communication, organisation, and numerical skills. You should have demonstrable experience working in a comparable role on civil engineering projects, preferably within consultancy, and a good knowledge of relevant UK legislation and standards associated with Civil and Structural Engineering.

Key requirements include:

  • Strong background in Civil Engineering consultancy
  • Experience of project and budget management, and team supervision
  • Working knowledge of engineering design, programme management, and engineering contracts
  • Knowledge and experience of the tendering process
  • Good knowledge of civil engineering principles
  • Full driving licence valid in the UK
