Job Title: Senior Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our Civil Structures team in Edinburgh. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of civil structures projects, including bridges and ancillary civil structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of civil structures projects, including bridges and ancillary civil structures.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and assist in mentoring and development of others.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Assess and document design changes and communicate them to the Project Manager.
  • Review projects on completion and recommend improvements to technical policy, processes, and design solutions.

Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural engineering.
  • 5+ years relevant post-qualification structures design experience and a strong successful record of project delivery in structures design.
  • Significant experience with design to Eurocodes and DMRB.
  • Proficient with structural design and analysis software such as STRAP, Autodesk Bridge Design, LUSAS or similar.
  • Chartered Membership of the ICE or IStructE, or working towards chartership with a view to imminent completion of IPD.
  • A full UK driving licence.
