We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Home School Tutor to join our team at Norton College in Worcester. As a Home School Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting the education and well-being of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one tuition to students in their homes, college, or alternative locations, adapting your teaching style to meet their individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with the home tuition team and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning environment.
- Encourage and motivate students who may be struggling with their education, using a range of strategies to engage them in their learning.
- Transport students to and from college, using a company-provided vehicle, and facilitate their education at home.
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress and well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in regular team meetings to discuss student needs and progress.
- GCSE at C or 4 grade or above in mathematics and English.
- Recent experience of working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to adapt your teaching style to meet the needs of students with SEMH.
- Knowledge of strategies for de-escalating challenging situations and promoting a positive learning environment.
