Trainee Financial Adviser - Preston

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Trainee Financial Adviser in Preston. As a Trainee Financial Adviser, you will play a key role in advising clients on their financial needs and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospect and contact potential clients in accordance with our business plan.
  • Ensure sufficient client information is obtained before making any recommendations.
  • Follow relevant advice and sales procedures at all times.
  • Manage client portfolios in accordance with their mandate, objectives, and our investment proposition.
  • Undertake product and market research to provide suitable recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all supporting documents are up-to-date.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to client queries in a timely manner.
  • Treat clients fairly and in line with the 'TCF' principles.
  • Identify clients who may be in vulnerable or potentially vulnerable circumstances and adapt your advice and services accordingly.
  • Maintain a current statement of professional standing and relevant CPD.
  • Meet performance standards and maintain the level of competence required by the firm.
General Responsibilities:
  • Follow our compliance processes and procedures at all times.
  • Respond to Compliance department requests on time.
  • Comply with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, the FCA's Conduct rules, and relevant FCA rules.
  • Have a positive culture attitude and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant regulatory, product, legislative, and technical requirements.
  • Ensure all client contact is carried out in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure they are compliant on an ongoing basis.
  • Liaise with admin support, Paraplanners, and other team members as necessary.
Requirements:
  • A good understanding of relevant legislation affecting our industry.
  • The ability to take on and understand our environment and the issues it raises.
  • Ability to compile reports and previous experience within financial services.

We expect an individual in this role to hold relevant qualifications and have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this position.
