Key Stage 2 Intervention Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Mentor to work with a Key Stage 2 pupil in Dagenham, starting in January. The successful candidate will provide individual support to the child, helping them develop essential life skills and manage their behaviour effectively.

About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting children with challenging behaviour, including those who exhibit physical outbursts. They will also be able to implement de-escalation techniques and manage situations calmly. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach are essential for building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to the Key Stage 2 pupil, focusing on developing social skills and self-regulation.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and class teacher to create a positive learning environment.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents.
