TQR is seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Engineer to join their team at their Plymouth site. With a strong background in plant, equipment, and service maintenance, the ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting site production facilities through proactive and reactive maintenance strategies.

This role requires the ability to diagnose complex issues, work safely, and communicate effectively with suppliers and on-site personnel. The successful candidate will respond to breakdowns in a timely manner, performing necessary repairs on existing plant and machinery, and ensuring PPM activities are completed within scheduled times.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Fault finding using CNC Controls and PLC Ladder logic
  • Commissioning and installation of new machinery
  • Dismantling and decommissioning of old machinery
  • Maintaining good communication with production staff for updates on machine breakdowns, machine release from production for maintenance
  • Working with production staff to provide breakdown support in line with production priorities

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Recognised Maintenance Apprenticeship coupled with relevant academic qualifications within an Engineering Discipline
  • Proven, recent experience working as a Maintenance Engineer, fault finding using CNC Controls and rectifying faults
  • Risk assessment trained
  • Understanding of PLC Systems and fault finding using ladder logic
  • IPAF licence

The salary for this position is £32,643 per annum, inclusive of 20% shift premium for rotating shifts. If training on static days is required, the base salary will be applied during that period.
