Our client, a leading accountancy firm in the Lewes area, is renowned for its robust tax services and commitment to excellent client service.

Job Description

  • Prepare self-assessment tax returns for individuals, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Calculate tax liabilities and advise on payment of tax due under self-assessment.
  • Prepare capital gains tax computations and make claims for relief under SEIS, EIS, and VCT.
  • Correspond with clients, HMRC, and other third parties, providing clear and concise communication.
  • Prepare partnership and sole trader tax returns, ensuring timely submission.
  • Monitor the compliance cycle for personal and corporate clients, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Prepare corporation tax computations and CT600s with capital allowances claims.
  • Assist managers with ad hoc planning and advisory projects, providing expert tax guidance.
  • Assist with dealing with HMRC enquiries, ensuring a smooth resolution process.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Taxation Specialist should have:

  • A professional qualification in tax or accountancy (ATT/ACA/ACCA/CTA or equivalent).
  • Strong technical skills in both corporate and personal tax.
  • A commitment to keeping up-to-date with tax legislation and best practice.
