About the Role

The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialty Doctor in Paediatrics to join our team. As a key member of our Paediatric team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to children who attend the Emergency Department or are referred to Paediatrics by Primary Care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of a Paediatrics Rapid Access Clinic (RAC) to improve urgent and emergency care offered to children.
  • Deliver twice weekly Rapid Access Clinics and contribute to the senior Paediatric Assessment Unit (PAU) rota during the week and at weekends.
  • Perform non-urgent child protection medical assessments.
  • Develop guidance and pathways to improve the care provided for children with acute presentations.
