Support Worker for SEMH Children

Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges? Do you want to make a positive impact on their lives and help them overcome barriers to learning?
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics. As a Support Worker for SEMH children, you will be working closely with students who require additional support in their school environment.
Your key responsibilities will include assisting the children with self-regulation activities, techniques, and strategies to help them achieve calm and regulated moods. You will also be required to work with students who need support with their SEMH and personal needs, ensuring you are aware of safeguarding processes within the school and implementing them as necessary.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience in working with vulnerable children. You will gain valuable insight into how schools support students and families, and identify key support strategies that can be applied later in your career.
Key Details:- Estimated Salary: £26,000 - £35,000 per annum (based on 83.15 per day)
- Full-time position available
- Ongoing contract with ASAP or January start options
- Must be able to commute to various schools across Bristol
