Early Childhood Development Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Early Childhood Development Assistant. This role involves working one-on-one with a child who requires support with language and communication skills, as well as social/emotional skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to the child in developing language and communication skills
- Assist the child in building social/emotional skills, such as empathy and self-regulation
- Collaborate with the Autism Specialist and family members to ensure a comprehensive support plan
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Early Childhood Education background or Intensive Behavioural Intervention training (IBI)
- English as a first language (or proficiency in English)
- CPR First Aid training
- Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check
- Food safety certification (can be obtained after hiring)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a daycare centre or with one-on-one special needs support
