Art Education Assistant

art-K is a leading provider of private art education services, offering a specialist art program that tutors art skills to children. We are the largest children's art education service in England, teaching over 5500 children nationally per week.

The job holder's purpose is to assist art-K's Creative Director across a range of functions, including administration, diary management, planning training, and ad hoc events. The role involves supporting the Creative Director in any way requested, including writing projects, creating prototype project examples, and providing administrative support.

The successful candidate will have a passion for children's artistic development and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. They will also have a high level of English writing ability to draft content and respond to questions by email.

art-K provides a supportive environment where 'on-the-job' guidance and support is provided to encourage real-time learning opportunities. We also offer 24/7 access to mental health support with BUPA and health insurance through Vitality.

The salary for this role is £12 per hour, increasing to £13 following probation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Creative Director with administration, diary management, and planning training
  • Support the Creative Director with ad hoc events, such as company outings
  • Provide administrative support, including writing projects and creating prototype project examples
  • Set up our training facility for training with staff or for franchise visits
  • Support on visits and help report and record mileage
  • Receptionist duties and customer support - answering calls and queries via live chat
  • Write birthday, anniversary and celebratory cards/presents for the company
  • Organise company social events and training facilities when required
  • Set up access to key software for the company
  • Support the Creative Project Coordinator on tasks when applicable
