Art Teacher / Art ECT Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and talented Art Teacher / Art ECT to join our expanding Art Department in a reputable Secondary School in the Borough of Westminster. This is a permanent, full-time contract with a January 2025 start.

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspiring and motivating students, working alongside a team of experienced Art Teachers, and contributing to the development of the Art Department. Opportunities for career progression and professional growth are available, including TLRs such as KS3 Coordinator and Pastoral Responsibilities.

We welcome both experienced Art Teachers and Newly Qualified Art Teachers (ECTs) to apply. ECTs will be enrolled onto our bespoke ECT induction program, which includes 1:1 mentorship, in-house training, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspiring and motivating students in the subject of Art and Design
  • Developing and delivering engaging lesson plans and curriculum content
  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop the Art Department and improve student outcomes
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice

Requirements:

  • UK QTS or in the process of gaining
  • Strong academic record, including a degree, A Levels, and GCSEs
  • Ability to meet the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good or Outstanding' level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
