About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Bilfinger UK Limited. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our projects and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality support to projects, including quality assurance, quality control, and audit processes.
  • Ensure quality systems are established and managed across projects and communicated to stakeholders.
  • Proactively promote 'right first time' methodology to reduce non-conformances within the project environment.
  • Collaborate with the HSE team to deliver safety awareness at site level and apply quality techniques to non-conformances.
  • Conduct internal and external audits, produce reports, and validate the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Prepare and review quality plans, inspection and test plans, and supporting QA documentation.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Implement quality activities at various sites and ensure subcontractors and suppliers conform to company and project requirements.
  • Attend project-related meetings and liaise with the procurement team regarding quality requirements.
  • Ensure the effectiveness and relevance of work instructions and procedures.
  • Liaise with client's QA departments to ensure transparency and open communication.
  • Actively promote and encourage a continuous improvement philosophy.
Requirements
  • Good engineering and QA/QC background.
  • CQI membership or looking towards accreditation.
  • Recognized and current internal auditor qualification.
  • Full understanding of how to deliver internal audits of management systems.
  • Development of project QA documentation and review of supplier QA documentation.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of quality management systems in a regulated environment.
  • Problem resolution skills and ability to articulate their use.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with KPIs and performance monitoring techniques.
  • Ability to understand and interpret ISO management system standards, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good communication and report writing skills.
  • Good understanding of ISO 45001.
  • +5 years' experience working in a highly regulated industry.
  • Experience/qualification in one or more of the following special processes: NDT, heat treatment, surface treatment, dimensional verification.
  • Pipework, steelwork, and insulation knowledge.
  • Detailed knowledge of related specifications (API, ASME, ASTM, ISO, PED, etc.).
  • Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Travel to multiple sites.
