About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Exam Operations Capacity Planner to join our team. As a key member of our English and Examinations Strategic Business Unit, you will play a crucial role in planning and tracking exams capacity requirements against demand.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing small teams and working in exams environments. You will be responsible for translating demand into capacity plans for venues, venue staff, papers, and other resources. Additionally, you will identify and share best practices to drive continuous improvement in operational capability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement capacity plans to meet exams demand
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Venue Proprietors to ensure effective resource allocation
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
  • Ensure customer experience standards are met through regular feedback and improvement initiatives
  • Maintain compliance with corporate risk management procedures relevant to service delivery
Requirements
  • Experience managing small teams or demonstrated management potential
  • Background in exams environment or similar field
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in virtual teams
  • Ability to translate demand requirements into capacity plans

As a British Council employee, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of £30,839 - £37,152, depending on location. In addition, you will receive 32 days annual leave, three days volunteering leave, and a career-average defined benefit pension scheme.
