We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Officer to join our team at International Medical. As a Medical Officer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical care to our clients and ensuring their safe and timely case management and transfer.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide telephone and email-based travel advice to individuals and small corporate groups.
- Manage inpatient and outpatient cases, ensuring seamless coordination and communication with our team.
- Augment and facilitate the transfer of insured clients and members, ensuring their medical needs are met.
- Maintain and develop our medical equipment library, ensuring high standards of governance and compliance.
- Liaise with and maintain our database of escorts, ensuring their expertise and availability are utilized effectively.
- Work collaboratively with other subsidiaries of International Medical to provide a global and integrated service.
- Provide pre-authorisation services for a range of international private medical insurance clients.
- Previous insurance/Repatriation experience is required.
- Registration as a general nurse on Sub part 1 of the NMC register is mandatory.
- 5 years post-registration nursing experience in an acute field such as ICU/A&E or pre-hospital roles is preferred.
- Demonstrate an ability to work autonomously with authority, while working as part of a greater team.
- Must be dynamic and adaptable in response to the needs of the business.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of normal anatomy & physiology and the impact of disease, illness & injury.
- Undertake a 6-month period of training & probation in one of our UK offices.
- Experience with international private medical case management and pre-authorisation procedures is preferred.
- Have studied or working towards CCAT course or equivalent aeromedical retrieval course is preferred.

- Competitive salary of £42,000 - £48,000 (depending on experience & pro rata).
