About the Role

The Principal Moderator will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of assessment delivery across our qualifications. As a Senior Assessment Associate, you will be responsible for leading the moderation process, overseeing the standardization of moderators, and maintaining the integrity of our assessment processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the moderation process, ensuring the timely delivery of contracted units/modules/components.
  • Exemplify the marking criteria, using candidates' live work to inform standardization and moderation decisions.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and moderators to ensure the quality and consistency of assessment delivery.
  • Prepare and collate materials for standardization, including sampling supervisors'/moderators' initial moderating and backread responses.
  • Monitor the progress of supervisors/moderators, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Act as a senior point of escalation across the quality assurance process, resolving issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

  • Experience and knowledge of quality assurance and assessment practice.
  • History of moderation and/or moderating a regulated qualification.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the specification for your specialist sector, including internal and external requirements.
