Accounts Payable Specialist

A prestigious aerospace and defence organisation in Preston is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional. The successful candidate will have prior experience in a similar position and strong IT literacy skills, including knowledge of Microsoft applications and ERP systems.
About the Opportunity:
This role offers a competitive salary of £14.23 per hour (PAYE) or £18.51 per hour (UMB), with opportunities for growth and development. As a key member of the team, you will complete comprehensive training to ensure understanding of all systems, processes, and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and distribute post/email on a team rotational basis.
- Timely and accurate processing of all invoices according to relevant deadlines.
- Provide a support service to other sections and departments, addressing related queries to ensure timely payment.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a similar position.
- Essential skills:
- IT literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft applications and ERP systems.
- Basic understanding of key business principles.
Salary:
The annual salary for this position is estimated at £29,500 - £31,000, based on the hourly rate and a standard 37-hour working week.
