Your Role
In this rewarding position, you will work closely with learners, tutors, and other support staff to develop tailored learning plans. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating a conducive learning environment, ensuring access to a wide range of educational experiences, and providing modified materials as needed. You will also play a vital role in advising tutors on necessary adjustments for learners with learning support needs, updating learning support plans and contact logs accurately, and contributing to the overall well-being and personal development of our learners.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide structured support to learners using effective interventions as per their EHCP Plan
* Aid access to learning experiences and provide modified materials as required
* Offer positive reinforcements, praise, and emotional support to learners
* Advise and support tutors on making necessary adjustments for learners with learning support needs
* Ensure accurate and timely updates to Learning Support Plans and contact logs
* Work collaboratively with the team to enhance learner well-being and personal development
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will require:
* Minimum 2 years' experience working with Post 16 learners
* Knowledge and experience of working with Post 16 learners with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP)
* GCSE or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English
* NVQ3 or equivalent recognized by the National Occupational Standards for Supporting Teaching and Learning
* Calm and patient attitude
