Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Academic Support Coordinator to join our team at beBee Professionals in Sunderland. This role involves providing tailored support to students with special educational needs, fostering a positive learning environment, and collaborating with teachers to implement individualized education plans.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver one-on-one or small group support during lessons, tailoring instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Work closely with teachers to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring students receive the necessary accommodations and support.
  • Establish and maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting social skills, emotional intelligence, and academic success.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of experience working with children with special educational needs, demonstrating a deep understanding of their diverse needs.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Patient, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships with students, creating a sense of trust and security.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs support are desirable, but not mandatory.
