About the Role

Rise Technical Recruitment is excited to announce a new opportunity for a Lead Design Engineer - UK Projects. Our client is a leading national utility infrastructure company seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead their design team on various projects across the UK.

This is an excellent chance for a driven water design engineer to take on a leadership role and be part of a growing design office. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects, managing teams, and ensuring timely and quality project delivery.

Our client offers a competitive package, including a salary range of £60,000 to £70,000 per annum, car allowance, private healthcare, and a generous pension scheme. Flexible working arrangements, including 2 days per week in the office, allow for a healthy work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design team in developing and implementing water infrastructure designs that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of project progress, timelines, and budget allocations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose solutions to enhance business growth.

Requirements:

  • Professional degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in water infrastructure design and project management.
  • Strong understanding of UK water regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
