Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Training Manager to join our team at RSM UK.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive training strategy for our ERP implementation project. This will involve working closely with the Programme Manager and the project team to identify training needs, develop and deliver effective training programmes, and evaluate their effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a training strategy that aligns with the project's objectives and communicates it to key stakeholders.
  • Design and develop training courses in collaboration with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure they meet the needs of our users.
  • Assess training needs and work with stakeholders to provide solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Develop a training plan and create the necessary materials to roll out the courses to our users.
  • Identify the most effective mediums for delivering best-in-class training, including face-to-face, online, and digital assets.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Training and Digital Learning teams to ensure our training courses have a consistent premium look and feel.
  • Obtain regular feedback to ensure our training is continuously improving, relevant, up-to-date, well-managed, and maintained.
  • Ensure all learning is captured on our learning management system (Cornerstone).
  • Create a community where our people can share, learn from their peers, and provide feedback.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest digital technology to bring benefits to our training courses.

Personal and Professional Qualities:

The ideal candidate will have experience:

  • Leading training on an ERP (Finance/HCM) implementation.
  • Creating a training strategy, taking ownership, and delivering on time and to budget.
  • Working in a project team with tight timelines, dealing with setbacks, and adapting to change.
  • Delivering digital or software training using various mediums.
  • Communicating clearly and concisely using different mediums to deliver training to a variety of audiences.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of learning management systems and screen casting software, such as Cornerstone and Camtasia (or similar tools).
  • Previous experience in developing training strategy/plans and assessing training needs within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly redefine training strategy/plans and training analysis as the project evolves.
