We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credit Control Specialist to join our Finance Operations Team at Clarity Travel. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely payments from our clients and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our sales ledger.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to Credit Controllers and Team Leaders to ensure the sales ledger is up-to-date and accurate.
- Respond to client credit control-related queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Set up clients on our in-house invoice portal system and upload invoices for processing.
- Manage an allocated section of queries, resolving and identifying root cause issues, and taking necessary action to prevent recurring issues.
- Investigate and resolve complex customer queries, liaising with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Send copy invoices and statements as requested via the in-house system or via email.
- Perform ad-hoc reconciliations of customer accounts, as instructed by the Team Leader or customer.
- Download daily bank statements and update the daily banking Excel file.
- Cash posting and allocation.
- Provide daily and weekly reporting on cash promised, received, allocated, and unallocated.
- Run the daily open transactions report.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting on various trends, as requested by the Head of Credit Control.
- Run reports for query volumes and who they currently sit with, to manage volumes and age of queries.
- Assist Credit Controllers with debt chase as needed.
- Investigate bank payments to identify the client and chase for remittance.
- Excellent Excel skills, including maintaining spreadsheets and updating data.
- Ability to develop new skills and adapt to complex in-house systems.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritize workload.
- Organized with a methodical approach.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and professional approach to chasing payments.
- Ability to focus on a task and maintain confidentiality when dealing with company accounts.
- Positive and proactive attitude.
- Ability to follow Company Policies and procedures.
- Some transactional finance experience.
