Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in London. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based assessment and intervention for patients with communication and swallowing difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, and communication difficulties, as well as swallowing (dysphagia) evaluations when necessary.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, setting goals and monitoring progress in collaboration with patients and their families.
  • Provide direct therapy using a range of approaches, including individual and group sessions, tailored to each patient's specific goals.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication techniques, strategies, and home practice exercises to support therapy goals.
  • Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to clinic policies and professional standards.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy, with HCPC registration in the UK.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience (for Band 6) or 5+ years (for Band 7) in SLT, with a focus on a mixed caseload and experience in a variety of clinical settings.
  • Proficiency in assessment and intervention for speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Experience with evidence-based approaches for both pediatric and adult populations.
