Senior Support Worker – Pirton Grange, Worcester

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Pirton Grange, Worcester. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients, promoting their independence, choice, and community inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support a team of Support Workers to ensure high-quality care and support is delivered to our clients.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote the independence, choice, and community inclusion of our clients.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions and appraisals with the Support Worker team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care.
  • Coordinate scheduled activities and appointments for our clients, including planning their transport method and budgets.
  • Support, prompt, and assist clients with their personal care, maintaining their privacy and dignity at all times.
  • Encourage clients to utilize or develop proactive strategies to maintain their emotional wellbeing and mental health.
  • Monitor absence and sickness of the Support Worker team and follow Absence Policy of recording and reporting to the Manager/Deputy Care Manager.
  • Involved in the recruitment and induction of new team members.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience of supporting individuals with Mental Health, Learning Disabilities or Challenging Behaviour.
  • Good basic comprehension of English language including basic literacy and numerical skills.
  • Ongoing commitment to own personal development and training is required.
  • Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care or willing to work towards it.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
