We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerospace Systems Engineering Lead to join our team at Capgemini Engineering. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and undertaking engineering activities related to landing gear systems and equipment engineering tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and undertake engineering activities covering a broad variety of landing gear systems and equipment engineering tasks, delivering integrated technical solutions related to landing gear structure, braking, steering, extension, and retraction systems.
- Ability to lead a project team of mid-level/junior engineers to ensure the development of an integrated technical solution.
- Ensure adherence to budget and schedule for each task, managing and mitigating risks/opportunities and communicating in a timely manner.
- Conduct technical investigations and root cause analysis to ensure project technical performance.
- Create design office documentation such as technical reports, specification requirements, test procedures, and certification documents.
- Provide ad-hoc support to production and flight tests.
- Provide ad-hoc support to Customer Services Engineering and Product Safety.
- Assess T&E plans/procedures and improve/amend where required System and sub-system-level requirements management and generation of system/sub-system-level specifications for the Main and Nose Gear, Wheel, Tyre, and Brake as required by the program.
Requirements
- A basic awareness of Aircraft and Aircraft System Qualification and Certification.
- DO178, DO254, AFDX, ARINC 429
- Knowledge in aircraft systems, especially Hydraulics, Fluid Mechanics is an added advantage.
- Working on Airbus Family Aircraft – familiar with Airbus process & methodology.
- Catia V5, MSC ADAMS, MALAB, Simulink or IBM DOORS
Security Clearance
To be successfully appointed to this role, you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.
