We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative pharmacy technician to lead the education and training of our pre-registration pharmacy technical team and support staff. The successful candidate will assist in the development and delivery of medicines management and optimisation training, as well as provide training and support to facilitate the attainment of NVQ Level 2 and 3 (Pharmacy Services).

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medicines management and optimisation, as well as experience in training and mentoring. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

The role will involve managing trainee pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants, and providing support to facilitate the attainment of NVQ Level 2 and 3 (Pharmacy Services). The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring quality assurance and acting as an internal verifier for NVQ assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and delivery of medicines management and optimisation training
  • Provide training and support to facilitate the attainment of NVQ Level 2 and 3 (Pharmacy Services)
  • Manage trainee pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants
  • Ensure quality assurance and act as an internal verifier for NVQ assessments

Requirements:

  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Medicines Management certificate
  • Previous training, mentoring and NVQ assessment experience
  • Excellent current knowledge of Medicines Management and Optimisation
  • Understanding of hospital pharmacy systems
  • Staff management skills
