Job Title: Lead Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective management of medicines across our services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to pharmacy technicians and support staff in medicines management practices.
  • Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient-centred programmes of care, ensuring that practice is grounded in evidence-based knowledge and protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to identify and resolve potential pharmaceutical issues, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Develop and implement medicines management policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Completed technician accuracy checking (either hospital in-house or accredited qualification).
  • Leadership, management, and quality improvement experience and/or qualification.
Desirable:
  • Responsive, proactive approach to ongoing professional development, aspiring to attain the highest levels of practice.
Training and Experience:
  • Evidence of regular Continuing Professional Development.
  • Awareness of performance measures, specifically with reference to Clinical Governance and Healthcare Standards.
  • Computer skills, including the use of Pharmacy software.
