Electrical Automation Systems Engineer

Crystal Claire Cosmetics, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Automation Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our internal clients by designing, building, and testing automation equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Development: Design, build, commission, and test automation equipment, including assembly lines and robotic cells.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and IT, to automate various engineering projects and manufacturing processes.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize engineering principles and procedures to design and develop automation equipment, with a strong focus on machine design, PLC/HMI, control panel, component selection, protocol, electric safety, and machine aesthetics.
- Project Management: Organize, document, and present technical design reviews and project management overviews with minimal assistance.
- Continuous Improvement: Study current existing equipment statistics and provide recommendations for reaching and sustaining sales/production goals.
- Hands-on Experience: Perform hands-on electric/electronic installation, diagnostic, and troubleshooting experience.
- Drive Train Design: Design mechanical drive train systems, including the application of stepper motors, servo motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Software Development: Collaborate with a software engineer to develop and maintain hardware/software interfacing software for our hardware devices in C++, and build up automation connectivity software including LAN, database, and other standard interfaces and protocols.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in a custom automated equipment builder work environment.
- Knowledge: Good working knowledge of hardware/software interfacing, C++, and Linux.
- Skills: Familiarity with industry policies and procedures to ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance, strong team player with excellent people skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Ability: Must be capable of specifying and sourcing materials and equipment to best suit requirements.
