Job Title: Automation Electrical Systems Specialist

Crystal Claire Cosmetics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Automation Electrical Systems Specialist to support our internal clients. The ideal candidate will play a key role in all aspects of the engineering cycle, including conceptual design, research, detailed drafting of integrated leading-edge technologies and processes, evaluation and test of electrical and electronic equipment and systems utilizing robotics, vision systems, PLC, HMI, and motion control system, as well as BOM, installation and production support.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, build, commission, and test automation equipment (assembly lines, robotic cells).
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and IT along with outside suppliers in automating various initial conceptual design phases of engineering projects, manufacturing processes, and also building in-process quality to assure high-performance Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
  3. Utilize engineering principles and procedures, with strong knowledge and experience in machine design, PLC/HMI, control panel, component selection, protocol, electric safety, and machine aesthetics.
  4. Organize, document, and present technical design reviews and project management overviews with minimal assistance.
  5. Study current existing equipment statistics and provide recommendations for reaching and sustaining sales/production goals.
  6. Hands-on electric/electronic installation, diagnostic, and troubleshooting experience.
  7. Mechanical drive train design including the application of stepper motors, servo motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  8. Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives.
  9. Perform other related duties as required.
  10. Collaborate with a software engineer to develop and maintain hardware/software interfacing software for our hardware devices in C++, and build up automation connectivity software including LAN, database, and other standard interfaces and protocols.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 4 years previous experience in a custom automated equipment builder work environment.
  2. Good working knowledge of hardware/software interfacing.
  3. Familiarity with industry policies and procedures to ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
  4. Must have the ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-changing workload.
  5. C++ and Linux knowledge is a plus.
  6. Manufacturing experience is a plus.
  7. Strong team player with excellent people skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
  8. Must be capable of specifying and sourcing materials and equipment to best suit requirements.
