Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Automation team at Unison Ltd. in Scarborough. As a key member of our electrical team, you will be responsible for designing and developing control systems for our CNC tube bending machines and industrial engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and Development
  • Ensure conformance with customer specifications and machinery directive legislation.
  • Create parts lists (BOMs) and electrical schematics.
  • Develop manufacturing drawing packs and collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient working methods.
Commissioning and Support
  • Provide commissioning and fault-finding guidance to service teams.
  • Offer remote customer support and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum level 3 qualification in a related discipline or HNC.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role, with expertise in 3 phase power circuits, 24Vdc control circuits, and machine safety systems.
  • Servo motion and PLC programming experience is highly desirable.
