Nuclear Safety Regulation Specialist

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Nuclear Safety Regulation and Interface Team as a Senior Safety Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support, independent advice, and guidance on the requirements of the Nuclear Site License, Authorisation and Environmental Permits to relevant business teams. This will ensure compliance with both statutory and contractual obligations.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and guidance to relevant business teams on nuclear safety regulation and site licensing requirements.
- Influence business management arrangements and ways of working to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Interface with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and authorities to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Opportunities to get involved in other parts of the team and contribute to the development of nuclear safety regulation and interface functions.
Requirements:
- Stakeholder management experience, including working with Contractors, Directors, and other external parties.
- Experience of technical report writing and persuasive written argument.
- Experience in providing technical advice on nuclear safety regulation and site licensing.
- Ability to understand and interpret regulatory requirements and apply them in a practical context.
