Job Title: Senior Engineer - Nuclear Safety Regulation & Interface Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: Competitive Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Nuclear Safety Regulation and Interface Team. As a key member of the team, you will provide support, independent advice, and guidance on the requirements of the Nuclear Site License, Authorisation, and Environmental Permits to relevant business teams to ensure compliance with both statutory and contractual obligations. Key Responsibilities: * Providing technical advice and guidance to business teams on nuclear safety and regulatory matters * Influencing business management arrangements and ways of working to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements * Interfacing with a broad diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and authorities * Opportunities to get involved in other parts of the team Requirements: * Stakeholder management experience - working with various stakeholders including contractors, directors, etc. * Experience of technical/report writing and persuasive written argument * Experience in providing technical advice * Ability to understand and interpret regulatory requirements Desirable: * Experience in a high hazard regulated industry Benefits: You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance, and a company-contributed Share Incentive Plan. About the Team: The Nuclear Safety and Regulation Department oversee the nuclear regulation for the site. They exist to provide specialist advice to the business regarding nuclear safety and site licensing and are a key part of maintaining the license to operate.
