Nuclear Safety Case Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Safety Case Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Nuclear Safety Case Engineer, you will play a critical role in overseeing and authorizing nuclear substantiation documentation to support the site safety case. Your expertise will be essential in reviewing calculations and analysis work, supporting periodic review of safety, and taking ownership of deliverables. You will also provide support for the implementation of substantiation requirements and work closely with Human Factors, Site Safety Case, and Engineering Authority Teams. Additionally, you will support the development of other Nuclear Substantiation team members and collaborate with the wider business on Nuclear substantiation related activities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee and author nuclear substantiation documentation to support the site safety case
* Review calculations and analysis work
* Support periodic review of safety
* Take ownership of deliverables and demonstrate a high level of autonomy
* Provide support for the implementation of substantiation requirements
* Work closely with Human Factors, Site Safety Case, and Engineering Authority Teams
* Support the development of other Nuclear Substantiation team members
* Collaborate with the wider business on Nuclear substantiation related activities

Requirements:

* Experience of Nuclear Safety or Safety Case Analysis
* Experience in Nuclear, other high hazard, or highly regulated industry
* Ability to produce high-quality technical reports
* Determined in driving all deliverable associated activities through due process
* Excellent stakeholder management
