As a Peer Support Worker with our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who have experienced the criminal justice system and are in recovery from substance misuse, mental health issues, or other vulnerabilities.
Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team of professionals who share our commitment to delivering exceptional care. As a Peer Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to service users, promoting their independence and well-being, and empowering them to make informed decisions about their lives. Your expertise and lived experience will enable you to build strong relationships with service users, carers, and colleagues alike, ensuring seamless communication and effective collaboration.
In this rewarding role, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized recovery plans, leveraging your knowledge and skills to create tailored interventions that meet the unique needs of each individual. You will also contribute to the development of innovative solutions, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect within our organization.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, as well as access to comprehensive training programs, opportunities for career advancement, and a dynamic work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals who have experienced the criminal justice system and are in recovery. They will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, patience, and sensitivity when working with vulnerable populations. A full driving license and access to a car are required for this role, which involves regular travel to various sites across Berkshire.
