About the Role

As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting. Your primary focus will be on building strong relationships with the children, promoting their independence, and helping them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide constant supervision and care for children in a residential setting.
  • Offer emotional support and build trusting relationships with the children.
  • Offer guidance and education to families on parenting and child development.
  • Connect families with community resources and support services.
  • Conduct home visits to assess living situations and provide in-home support.
  • Work towards family reunification when possible.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the UK.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Registration under the PVG scheme.
  • A full driving license (preferred).
  • Obtained or working towards SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
