Residential Childcare Support Worker

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Practitioner to join our team in a residential setting. As a Childcare Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care to children and young people, including administering medication and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
- Working effectively as part of a team to deliver a high-quality service, promoting a positive and nurturing environment for children and young people.
- Supporting children and young people with complex learning and physical disabilities, providing respite care and promoting their independence.
- Collaborating with other professionals, including healthcare and education teams, to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
Requirements:
- 6 months of prior experience in a residential setting with children and young people aged below 16 years.
- Flexibility in the roles undertaken, with a willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, young people, and colleagues.
- Registration under the PVG scheme, with a full driving license and ability to transport children and young people.
- Obtained, or working towards SVQ level 3 and SVQ level 4 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable.
