Belmont Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Chief Finance Officer to join Medway NHS Trust. This is a 3 to 6 month contract with the possibility of extension, working 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Chief Finance Officer and other Executive Directors to deliver the Trust's financial plan for 2023/24 and implement its medium-term financial recovery plan.
  • Work closely with the Senior Finance Team, PMO, and Divisional operational management teams to ensure a clear understanding of the Trust's financial position and forecast outturn.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve financial efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Support the Chief Finance Officer in overseeing the programme to monitor and manage financial risks and mitigations.
  • Work with key stakeholders to identify and implement actions to reduce bank and agency headcount and expenditure.
Requirements
  • Experience of working at CFO level or Deputy CFO level in complex, challenging NHS acute providers.
  • Demonstrable experience of contributing to delivery of financial improvement programmes.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledgeable of NHS financial issues.
  • Qualifications; degree level or equivalent. CCAB qualified.

Hourly Rate

Negotiable depending on experience.
