Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Education Mental Health Practitioner to join our innovative Mental Health Support Team at Compass Bloom. As a Trainee Supervising Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and the community.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the services we provide with children, young people, families, and educational settings, while developing your career in mental health support. You will be working with a dedicated team to meet the mental health and emotional wellbeing needs of children, young people, and families in our partner education settings and local communities in Central & West Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering training, evidenced-based interventions, and consultation to children, young people, families, and educational staff.
  • Working therapeutically with children and young people, as an EMHP/CYP-IAPT practitioner, with a minimum of one year post-qualification experience.
  • Collaborating with the team to develop and implement high-quality, responsive services that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Providing mentorship and support to colleagues, while also being open to learning and development opportunities.
  • Working under pressure and managing changing priorities, while maintaining a commitment to excellence and professionalism.
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with:

  • A core professional qualification relevant to mental health nursing, occupational therapy, social work, or a related field.
  • Experience of working therapeutically with children and young people, with a minimum of one year post-qualification experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to children and young people.
  • A willingness to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Supervision.
  • Access to own transport or evidence of ability to commute efficiently between community venues.
