Faculty Research Librarian

We are seeking a highly skilled Faculty Research Librarian to join our team at the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. As a key member of our Faculty Services team, you will provide expert research support to law faculty and students, leveraging your expertise in legal research and information technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research in law and law-adjacent disciplines for faculty partners.
  • Collaborate with faculty to design and implement research projects that meet their needs.
  • Provide comprehensive research services, including document delivery, research consultations, and collection development.
  • Participate in general reference services, including desk hours, research consultations, and developing research guides and presentations.
  • Teach in first-year and upper-level research classes.

Qualifications:

  • ABA-accredited JD or equivalent foreign degree or Masters Degree in Library and/or Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution.
  • At least 1 year of legal reference experience.

We are looking for individuals with:

  • Experience conducting complex research on various platforms.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in advancements in research and legal research technologies.

Salary Range: $76,400.
