We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Detective Constable, embarking on a 3-year programme to become a qualified Detective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support vulnerable individuals, utilizing expertise in risk assessment and mitigation.

  • Prepare and present evidence in court, engaging with various stakeholders, including social care, barristers, and forensic experts.
  • Develop strong communication skills, adapting to diverse situations and individuals.
  • Demonstrate resilience, tenacity, and a focus on delivering positive results, even in challenging circumstances.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to a culture of innovation and excellence.
Programme Highlights
  • The programme focuses on developing investigative skills, preparing individuals for a career as a qualified Detective.
  • Participants will spend most of their time in investigative roles, with opportunities for progression and development.
  • The pathway is designed to provide a clear career progression for staff, with a structured programme and support framework.
  • Individuals will have the opportunity to train towards becoming a qualified PIP1 investigator and then a qualified PIP2 investigator.
  • As a Detective, you will investigate the Force's most serious and complex crimes, making a significant impact on the community.
Requirements
  • We are looking for individuals with excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering positive outcomes for victims.
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification or relevant quantifiable experience in a policing role.
  • A full driving license (manual) is required.
