Director of Finance and Operations

MacKenzie King is seeking a highly skilled Director of Finance and Operations to join their team. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the organization's strategic financial planning, governance, administration, IT, and human resources.

The organization is committed to achieving high performance and quality business and digital systems, processes, and ways of working that improve efficiencies. This will involve developing new tools to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, as well as supporting the health and wellbeing of the team. They are dedicated to digitalization, sustainability, and minimizing the impact on climate change.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Finance and Operations team to achieve strategic objectives.
  2. Develop and implement digital programs and applications to support internal and external relationships, finance, and communications.
  3. Establish and review policies and procedures for operational support, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
  4. Provide strategic financial advice and information to the Board of Trustees and Senior Leadership team.
  5. Manage relationships with investment managers, banks, and auditors to safeguard the organization's assets and reputation.
  6. Maintain financial control systems in line with the organization's objectives.
  7. Act as Company Secretary.
  8. Manage payroll and pension provision, ensuring compliance with organizational obligations.

Requirements:

  1. A qualified accountant with senior-level experience working with boards and senior leadership teams.
  2. A strategic leader with excellent understanding of good governance and risk management.
  3. An efficient, organized, digitally literate champion of sustainable systems and processes.
  4. A positive, kind, and civil role model who understands the impact of culture on team performance, health, and wellbeing.
  5. An ambitious individual with a passion for the organization's mission and values.

Job Type: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: £70,000.00-£75,000.00 per year

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
