Job Title: Cleaning Operative - Facilities Maintenance
Location: Mermaid Quay, Cardiff Bay
Hours: 20 hours, 4 on 4 off
Pay Rate: £ per hour
Job Overview and Purpose
This position involves covering a Monday to Friday, 6am to 10am shift with additional hours as required. As a facilities maintenance cleaning operative, your role will be to deliver high-quality cleaning services to client facilities in and around the building.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize lifts, wipe all external and internal stainless steel on lift doors/frames/lift runners, and remove smudges from mirrors.
- Sweep and mop floors, clean restrooms/showers, empty trash, clean and sanitize fixtures, clean mirrors, clean shower cubicle partition doors/walls, and sweep and mop tile floors.
- Set up, stock, and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Monitor and maintain sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
- Assist team leaders/supervisors when needed to ensure optimum service to clients.
- Perform additional duties as needed, within reason.
- Clear service corridors and back-of-house areas to ensure tenants comply with waste legislation.
- Keep service corridors and service areas clean and free from litter to prevent pests.
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a similar cleaning role.

- Communication – good written and spoken English.
