Assistant Commercial Finance Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Commercial Finance Manager to join our team at Hampshire County Council. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the effective financial management of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial advice and guidance to senior managers and teams
  • Develop and maintain financial models and reports to support business decisions
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
  • Support the implementation of financial systems and processes
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in finance or a related field (e.g. AAT, CCAB, CIMA)
  • Experience in financial management, planning, and analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
