About the RoleThis role will be part of the Assistant Director's management team, working closely with service managers to develop an approach that combines Licensing, Environmental Health, and Trading Standards into a unified service.
As a leader, you will have a key role in bringing together teams, policies, and processes from legacy District Councils and County Council into a cohesive service. You will work with staff to ensure they are engaged in the development of the service and promote a 'one team' work culture.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Public Protection Services team to deliver high-quality services that meet the needs of residents and businesses.
- Work with the management team to develop policies and procedures that align with the council's vision and objectives.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the authority to ensure a seamless delivery of services.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including local authorities, partner agencies, and community groups.
We offer a competitive salary of £80,000 - £83,500 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including:

- A 12-month digital trial of free workplace car parking for employees in all council-owned car parks between Monday to Friday.
