Secondary School Learning Assistant Lead

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Burnley.
Competitive Rate: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with special educational needs and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, especially those with SEN.
- Assist in preparing teaching resources and classroom materials.
- Help monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback where necessary.
- Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment, supporting students in staying focused and engaged.
- Support the teacher in classroom management and discipline.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Desirable experience working with secondary school students, especially those with SEN.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, patient, and positive approach to supporting students.
- Ability to adapt and work flexibly across a range of subjects and year groups.
