About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a secondary school in Burnley. As a key member of our staff, you will provide academic support to students, assist teachers with lesson delivery, and help maintain a positive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Teachers in Delivering Engaging Lessons: Collaborate with teachers to provide high-quality instruction and activities that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Provide One-on-One or Small Group Support: Offer personalized assistance to students, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN), to ensure they access the curriculum.
- Assist with Resource Preparation and Classroom Management: Help prepare teaching materials and maintain a well-organized classroom environment that fosters focus and engagement.
- Maintain Progress Tracking and Provide Feedback: Monitor student progress, offer constructive feedback, and support teachers in making data-driven decisions.
- Support Classroom Discipline and Management: Work collaboratively with teachers to create a positive and orderly classroom atmosphere, promoting student responsibility and respect.
Ideal Candidate:
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience working with secondary school students, especially those with SEN, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, patient, and positive approach to supporting students' learning.
- Ability to adapt and work flexibly across various subjects and year groups.
The estimated salary for this role is around £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive rate, reflecting the importance of your contributions to our students' education.
